The Dark Truth Behind Nagarjuna College of Engineering and Technology
The Dark Truth Behind Nagarjuna College of Engineering and Technology
Choosing a college is a big decision. As a current student at Nagarjuna College of Engineering and Technology (NCET), I want to offer a transparent view that could help future students and parents make an informed choice.
🏛️ College Life: Not Just What You See in Brochures
🔍 A Reality Check
The college has good branding and promising brochures, but some of the real experiences are quite different. This blog is not to defame, but to constructively highlight areas that need improvement for the betterment of all.
🌡️ Infrastructure & Classroom Environment
🚫 Lack of Basic Comfort
Many classrooms do not have proper ventilation, and the absence of working fans makes it uncomfortable especially during summer. While the infrastructure appears solid from the outside, maintenance of classroom conditions is something that requires urgent attention.
🍽️ Mess & Food Facilities
⚠️ Needs Serious Improvement
The food served in the mess often lacks hygiene, taste, and variety. While it may be manageable for some, many students struggle with the quality of daily meals. A change in menu planning and quality control could drastically improve the student experience.
🚌 Transportation Services
🚍 Unreliable and Inconsistent
Because of it's location up's and down's
but public transport delays and overcrowding are common issues. Students often end up waiting longer than expected, leading to stress and inconvenience. More buses and better scheduling would be a welcome improvement out side the collage.
👩🏫 Faculty and Teaching Quality
🌟 A Mixed Bag
Some faculty members are highly knowledgeable and supportive. However, not all are equally effective at teaching or connecting with students. Instead of focusing solely on marks, a more interactive and helpful approach would benefit everyone.
📅 Attendance Policy: A Strict System
⛔ Zero Flexibility
The 85% minimum attendance requirement is strictly enforced, with no leniency even for genuine medical or personal issues only 10% is provided extra that is only 4-8 days of holidays in a sem. This creates unnecessary pressure on students. A more flexible and empathetic approach would foster a better learning environment.
💬 Communication & Transparency
😓 Lack of Student Support
At times, students feel that their concerns go unheard. There's a need for better communication and transparency from the administration. Having an open channel for student feedback could make a huge difference in solving many ongoing issues.
🧠 Final Thoughts: Should You Join?
🎯 A College With Potential, But Needs Improvement
Every institution has pros and cons. NCET has some good teachers, decent facilities, and potential, but there are critical areas that need reform especially in student comfort, support systems, and communication.
This blog isn’t meant to criticize harshly, but to give a realistic and respectful view. If you're considering joining, talk to current students and visit the campus before making your decision.
🙌 Students Deserve the Best
Let’s hope that with time and feedback, the management makes positive changes to improve the student experience. Until then, make sure to do your research thoroughly and consider all factors before joining any college.
keep in mind!
These issues aren’t unique to this college nearly 90% of engineering colleges face similar problems. I’ve only written this because no one talks about these problems openly.
